Job Summary:
The Crime Scene Investigator is responsible for conducting thorough and meticulous investigations at crime scenes, collecting and analyzing evidence, and providing expert testimony in court proceedings. 3. Photographing, sketching, and documenting crime scenes and evidence in a systematic and accurate manner, ensuring proper chain of custody.
4. Collaborating with law enforcement agencies, forensic specialists, and other relevant parties to ensure the preservation and integrity of evidence.
5. Utilizing various scientific techniques and instruments to process and analyze evidence, including fingerprinting, ballistics, and trace evidence analysis.
6. Preparing detailed reports, diagrams, and other necessary documentation to accurately depict crime scenes and findings.
7. Providing expert testimony in court proceedings regarding crime scene investigations, evidence collection, and analysis.
